Pezinok - Trnavská preschool
During the month of September we spent time getting to know each other better through games, songs and sport activities. We had a Sports Day where we tried our best in jumping, throwing balls, and running. The kids liked all the sports, playing with balls, and the parachute was a fun activity at the end.
Because the weather was very nice in September, we spent a lot of time outside on our playground and we walked to park once a week, where we sang, ran, fed the ducks, and observed nature. And because we are friends we learn that we should be nice to each other, and we repeated the magic words: Please and Thank you with Barney (a purple dinosaur).

The new school year started and here comes a whole new adventure. During the first couple of weeks after the summer we met our old friends again, made new friends and we all played together. Each month we focus on a different unit. In September, we talked about Me and My Friends and we were also enhancing the importance of good manners in preschool and overall.
During our academic circle time we have been reviewing the alphabet from the previous school year, children showed off their great memory and their interest. Now we can start building on top of their knowledge and we begin a new school year by practicing letters A and B. Furthermore, we practiced number 1, 2, 3 and 4 using various Montessori tools.

Hooray school has started! We are happy to be back in the school, learning new things and playing with our friends. During the month of September we have been talking about our families and friends, how to be nice to one another and what good manners are.
We expanded our English vocabulary with many new words starting with letters a,b,c and d. We learned how to mix basic colors to create new beautiful colors e.g. yellow + blue = green and what happens when we mix vinegar with baking soda. We can't wait for October to come to learn many more new things.

What a month full of new challenges! For most of the children a new preschool, new teachers, and new classmates. I have to say that the children are doing a great job and we are still working on cooperating as a team.
This month we talked about ourselves and our friends. We learned how important it is to have a friend and how important it is to have good manners - say please, thank you, be nice to everyone, share, take turns and a lot more. We explored the power of magnets and learned new letters and their sounds.
We are all looking forward to another month and to enjoy the colorful season of Fall.
Our kindergarten class is always full of energy and curiosity when we go outside for Tuesday’s P.E. (Physical Education) lesson. You can see how excited they are and can’t wait for what comes next. They especially love jumping through hula hoops. We love to see their smiling faces deep in concentration trying not to touch the hoops, or trying to jump on one leg, or even jumping backwards on both feet. The kids also love throwing rings on wooden sticks and counting out their points together. What makes it even more exciting are the classmates standing in line behind them, and cheering them on. This way we not only teach our Benjamin kids how to control their body and improve their mobility, but we also teach them how team spirit is important, and to become a winner and accept sometimes also to loose. We love being able to have P.E. lessons outside and will do so as long as the Fall weather cooperates!
We’re back! Another great year ahead of us in English Club and this one started with a bang! We got right into the swing of things and are working hard on our poems for the Bratslam poetry competition that will take place in November! Be on the look out for some great things coming from English Club this year!
