Technical Preschool at Benjamin
Learning Through Discovery, Building and Experimenting
Through regular hands on activities, children explore science, technology, engineering and mathematics in a playful and age appropriate way. They have opportunities to build, experiment, design, investigate and discover how things work.
Young children are naturally curious. They enjoy asking questions, testing ideas and creating their own solutions. Through the Technical Preschool programme, we support this curiosity and help children develop confidence, creativity, independence and a positive attitude towards learning.
What We Are Doing?
Children regularly take part in activities such as:
-
building with different construction materials
-
exploring simple machines, magnets, water, light and movement
-
completing logical and problem-solving challenges
-
learning the basics of robotics and programming with educational tools such as Bee Bot
-
designing, testing and improving their own models
-
working safely with simple tools and materials
-
learning about inventions, technology and different professions
-
cooperating with classmates on shared technical projects
All activities are adapted to the children’s age, abilities and individual needs. Learning takes place naturally through play, observation, exploration and experimentation.
Developing Skills for the Future
Through the Technical Preschool programme, we help children develop:
-
creativity and imagination
-
logical and critical thinking
-
problem solving skills
-
spatial awareness
-
fine motor skills and coordination
-
communication and teamwork
-
patience, persistence and independence
-
confidence in trying new ideas
Children also learn that mistakes are a natural part of learning. We encourage them to test their ideas, search for different solutions and try again when something does not work the first time.
A Natural English Environment
Technical and scientific activities also supports our natural English environment.
Children become familiar with practical English vocabulary connected with materials, shapes, numbers, tools, movement, construction and simple instructions. English is introduced naturally through real experiences, communication, games and project work.
Connecting Learning with Real Life
Our aim is to help children understand that technology is part of everyday life.
Through meaningful projects, they discover how buildings are constructed, how machines help people, how energy is used and how inventions can make life easier, safer and more environmentally friendly.
We encourage children to think responsibly about nature, recycling and the use of different materials.
Our Vision
At Benjamin Preschool, we want children to be more than users of technology.
Through the Technical Preschool programme, we help them become curious thinkers, creative designers, responsible problem solvers and active participants in their own learning.
This programme is an important part of our long term vision to provide modern, inspiring and meaningful education that prepares children for school and for the world of the future.
